Two touch screens and a monitor that moves to the examiner
The Acclarix AX8 Vet is Edan’s fully featured veterinary diagnostic platform. The physical layout is the first difference: a 15-inch tilt-and-swivel monitor sits above two gesture-control touch screens, so the display can be angled to the person scanning rather than the other way round.
The interaction model replaces a physical control panel with touch. Gestures adjust parameters on the lower screens while the image stays unobstructed, and Virtual TGC plus automatic B-mode optimisation remove two of the manual adjustments that normally occupy the operator during a scan.
Imaging is built on Tissue Adaptive Imaging, with dedicated veterinary presets and measurement packages. Ten transducer types are listed for the platform, and connectivity covers DICOM, Ethernet, video out, four USB ports and export to PDF, AVI and BMP.
