Mindray BC-5390CRP Hematology Analyzer
Mindray BC-5390CRP hematology analyzer with a single-tube CBC + 5-part differential + FR-CRP result from 35 uL of blood.
ICEN supplies selected professional medical equipment. Product availability and market authorization vary by country.
CBC, 5-part differential and CRP from one tube
The Mindray BC-5390CRP is an automated hematology analyzer with an integrated CRP module. It reports a complete blood count, a 5-part white blood cell differential and FR-CRP from a single blood tube, using about 35 uL of blood. Combining the two measurements removes the need to draw a separate sample and run a standalone CRP test.
CRP is measured by latex immunoturbidimetric technology with two reagents and dual CRP channels, and the analyzer also offers an individual CRP test mode. A built-in thermostat holds the CRP latex reagent at 2-8 C, keeping it in a refrigerated state on board. Results include NRBC# and NRBC% as well as an NLR parameter.
Throughput is up to 60 samples per hour for CBC+DIFF+CRP, which Mindray positions as the fast combined mode. A capillary whole blood mode supports pediatric and geriatric sampling. ICEN supplies the BC-5390CRP to hospital laboratories, diagnostic centres and distributors, and confirms configuration, reagent supply and destination-market conditions before quotation.

Mindray BC-5390CRP Hematology Analyzer - key specifications
| Brand | Mindray |
|---|---|
| Model | BC-5390 CRP |
| Category | 5-part hematology analyzer with CRP |
| Test scope | CBC, WBC 5-part differentiation (DIFF) and FR-CRP |
| Test scope | CBC (complete blood count), WBC 5-part differentiation (DIFF) and FR-CRP produced simultaneously from a single blood tube |
| Parameters reported | WBC 5-part differentiation (Lym, Mon, Neu, Eos, Bas), FR-CRP, and NLR (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio) calculated in each CBC+DIFF; NRBC research parameters NRBC# and NRBC% with an 'NRBC' flag |
| CRP method | FR-CRP measured with latex immunoturbidimetric technology using two reagents; dual CRP analysis channels working together to save waiting time between consecutive hematology and CRP tests |
| CRP test modes | Combined CBC+DIFF+CRP mode and individual CRP test mode (saves hematology reagents on samples that need only CRP analysis) |
| CRP reagent storage | Built-in thermostat (2-8 C) storage keeps the CRP latex reagent in a refrigerated state even after the analyzer is turned off, eliminating the need for external storage |
| Throughput | Up to 60 samples per hour for CBC+DIFF+CRP (described by Mindray as the fastest in the industry for the same mode of measurement) |
| Sample volume | 35 uL of blood from a single blood tube for simultaneous WBC 5-part differentiation and FR-CRP |
| Capillary mode | Capillary whole blood mode offers convenient analysis of pediatric and geriatric blood samples |
| Differential | WBC 5-part differentiation (Lym, Mon, Neu, Eos, Bas) from the hematology analysis channel, combined with latex immunoturbidimetry for the CRP channel |
| Reagent performance | New powerful reagent improves 5-part WBC differentiation (especially in samples with a high number of eosinophils) and the ability to process aged samples maintained at ambient temperature for up to 24 hours |
| Clinical value | Simultaneous availability of CRP and WBC parameter data helps prompt differentiation of bacterial infections from viral infections |

Common questions about Mindray BC-5390CRP Hematology Analyzer
What does the BC-5390CRP measure from one tube?
It reports CBC, a 5-part WBC differential and FR-CRP from a single blood tube, using about 35 uL of blood.
How is CRP measured?
FR-CRP uses latex immunoturbidimetric technology with two reagents and dual CRP channels.
Is there a CRP-only mode?
Yes. Alongside the combined CBC+DIFF+CRP mode the analyzer offers an individual CRP test mode, which saves hematology reagents.
How is the CRP reagent stored on board?
A built-in thermostat holds the CRP latex reagent at 2-8 C, keeping it in a refrigerated state inside the analyzer.
Is the model called BC-5390CRP or BC-5390 CRP?
Mindray publishes it as BC-5390 CRP, within the BC-5390 CRP / BC-5310 CRP line. It is also commonly written as BC-5390CRP. Both refer to the same analyzer - confirm the exact designation and configuration with ICEN before ordering.
