Mindray BC-5150 Auto 5-Diff Hematology Analyzer
Mindray BC-5150 auto 5-part differential hematology analyzer with semi-conductor laser scatter, a 50 um counting aperture and 15 uL whole-blood sampling.
ICEN supplies selected professional medical equipment. Product availability and market authorization vary by country.
A 5-part analyzer built around low-volume sampling
The Mindray BC-5150 performs a complete blood count with a 5-part white blood cell differential using flow cytometry together with tri-angle semi-conductor laser scatter and a chemical dye. It is specified at up to 60 samples per hour and reports 25 parameters with 3 histograms and 3 scattergrams.
RBC and PLT counting use improved DC impedance with a smaller 50 um diameter aperture. A narrower aperture improves resolution on low-platelet samples, a common difficulty when impedance counting is used on its own. Whole blood, capillary whole blood and prediluted modes are all supported, with 15 uL needed in whole-blood mode.
The instrument is operated entirely from its 10.4 inch TFT touch screen without an external PC, needs only three routine reagents with a two-year shelf life, and reports an NLR parameter in every CBC+DIFF result. LAN connectivity supports HL7 with bi-directional LIS, and up to 250,000 results are stored on board. ICEN supplies the BC-5150 to hospital laboratories, diagnostic centres and distributors, and confirms configuration and market requirements before quotation.
